Volleyball Manitoba is pleased to announce the roster for the female 2017 Team Manitoba Canada Games program.
The women’s selection camp wrapped up on May 14, with twelve players being selected to the roster from a very talented group of 26 athletes that attended the final try-out. Athletes had also been observed and evaluated throughout this past club season, during the school season, and previous summer’s provincial programs.
The highlight for this team will be competing in the 2017 Canada Summer Games, here in Winnipeg. The indoor volleyball competition will take place from August 7 – 12 at the University of Manitoba Investors Group Athletic Centre and at the Canada Games Sport for Life Qualico Training Centre.
As preparation, the team will also compete in the USA Volleyball High Performance Championship in Fort Lauderdale, FL, from July 18-22. Additional training matches are also planned for early July in Winnipeg against a few other provincial teams.
