Notice Regarding Tachikara SIX.VC

Volleyball Canada has been working with Tachikara regarding issues with the new competition ball, the SIX.VC, released in early 2016. We are pleased to announce that Tachikara has thoroughly inspected a large number of balls and have identified, and remedied, the issue. The company is taking full responsibility for any issues experienced with its product and has a plan in place, as outlined below.

The following is a message from President & CEO of Tachikara, Dann Burke, regarding the issues encountered:

“Tachikara recently released into the market SIX.VC volleyballs. Unfortunately, some panels detached from their internal support structure due to insufficient adhesive.

Our key priorities are to accept responsibility and seek a good disposition. Therefore, we have published a Corrective Action Plan with the objective of providing good quality replacements as they become available near mid-September.

Although we regret the experience some players may have had with the SIX.VC, we are hopeful that our eagerness to correct this situation and provide good replacements will minimize concerns and regain your trust.”

We encourage all individuals, teams and clubs who purchased a SIX.VC and who had issues with panels detaching go to the Tachikara Website in order to find more details on how to receive replacement volleyballs.

Thank you to all affected by this issue for your patience in this matter.
