2016 CIS Coaching Clinic

2016 CIS Women’s Volleyball Championship Coaching Clinic
Presented by Volleyball Manitoba & Brandon University

The 2016 CIS Women’s Volleyball Championship is taking place March 11-13 in Brandon, MB featuring 8 university teams from across Canada vying for the national title. The event will be held at BU’s new Healthy Living Centre and is the first CIS national championship ever held at Brandon University.

In conjunction with the championship event, Volleyball Manitoba in partnership with Brandon University is hosting a coaching clinic Saturday morning, March 12. Details include the following:

Date:                     Saturday, March 12
Time:                     9:30am – 12noon
Location:              King George School, 535 Park St, Brandon, MB
Cost:                      $65 members, $80 non-members

This clinic is designed for coaches of developing athletes to help prepare for your teams club or school volleyball seasons.  The clinic will cover on-court technical topics along with speed power sports strength & conditioning for the developing athlete.

Presenters include Arnd Ludwig, Head Coach of the Women’s National Team who will present on the topics of ‘How To Become a Better Serving and Passing Team’ and ‘Competitive Team Drills’, and Brittney Bruinooge Coach / Athlete Development Coordinator from Sport Manitoba on the topic of Speed Power Sports Strength & Conditioning.

Clinic registration includes a 2016 CIS Championship Event Pass (access to all games, all 3 days – $60 value), coffee and snacks in the morning, and a lunch voucher for following the clinic at the BU Healthy Living Centre.
