15U/16U Provincial Team Coaching Announcements

Volleyball Manitoba is pleased to announce the coaching staff for the 2016 Team Manitoba 15U/16U Female and Male Teams.  Chris Cara and Evan Turenne will return to Team Manitoba this season as head coaches for the 15U/16U female program. They will be assisted this season by Stacey Malech and Brittany Fingland.

The 15U/16U male program will feature returning Team Manitoba coaches Grant Wilson and Lindsey Habib as head coaches.

“We are very fortunate to have experienced coaches who are motivated to return to the program and help it grow.  Their presence will help the next generation of coaches learn and develop.”  said John Blacher, Volleyball Manitoba Executive Director.

Athlete Identification for the 16U NTCC programs has been taking place through provincial team camps and observation during the club season. Identified athletes will be invited to attend the Team Manitoba final selection camp to be held May 28/29 at Red River College in Winnipeg. Athletes selected to Team Manitoba this summer will compete in the National Team Challenge Cup July 13-17, 2016 (Richmond, BC for girls and Kingston, ON for boys).  Athletes participating in the NTCC 16U division are also eligible to be selected for the National Development Programs that will train from July 17th-24th in BC and Kingston.

This announcement of the 15U/16U coaching staff means Team Manitoba will field 24 teams this summer competing at the Provincial (Manitoba Games) and National level in both Beach and Indoor programs.
